Green Moisturizing Mask

I have a moisturizing mask just for you on this Saint Patrick's Day!

All you need is a bowl, spoon, and two all natural ingredients. This mask will minimize pores and clean your skin with the ingredient honey and make your skin feel silky smooth with the avacado.

First  prep your skin by washing your face with your usual cleanser and a towel soaked with lukewarm water. Dry your skin and apply the mask.

Green Moisturizing Mask

- 1/3 of an avacado
- 1 tablespoon honey

Scoop out 1/3 of an avacado and use a spoon to mash it up.  Mix in honey and stir completely. Use your fingers or a brush to apply to your face and let sit for 5-10 minutes.

Wash off with your towel and lukewarm water.

Now feel your skin.. Oh baby!! So smooth!

St. Patty's Day- What to do when you don't want to party!!

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!! This used to be such a fun  party night for me but this year I have to be an adult and wake up early and well rested for work.   Just because I'm staying in doesn't mean I can't have fun!  I'll let you know what I've done all night and how I'm making it a healthy and beauty filled night. Feel free to use this list on a Friday or Saturday night where you just don't want to go out.

  • Do a face mask & hair mask(there are a lot to choose from on my page)
  • Make a healthy, green filled dinner
  • Catch up on laundry and chores
  • Read all GGLF articles!!
  • Go on groupon and search any beauty treatments/workout classes you've been wanting to try
  • Pick a workout DVD and do it (I know you have at least one lying around)
  • Get your to-do-list together for the upcoming week
  • Cook healthy meals  and package them for the week
  • Clean the interior of your car
  • Read a new book (currently loving Lauren Conrad's books at the moment. It is 100% my guilty pleasure)
  • Catch up on your favorite TV shows and every time your favorite character does something funny or says a signature phrase do a certain amount of push-ups or crunches
  • Whiten your teeth
  • Floss
  • Paint your nails
So this is my night so far! Hope you guys enjoyed and have some new ideas for your next night in!  And if you are going out tonight cheers and stay safe!!

Best cleanser/moisturizer for acne prone skin

So why is there not some type of Botox equivalent for acne yet? We put people in space, have crazy ridiculous technology, you think by now we would be able to go to a doctors office, get a shot and be acne free for the next 6 months. Well, it's just not possible but I will share a little insight with you on what you can be doing on a daily basis to help with blemishes and breakouts.

Using Cetaphil and Cerave or the generic versions of this stuff will help tremendously. These cleansers won't break you out and they get all the make up off!! I like to switch the moisturizers because the Cetaphil one has emollients and humectants to lock that moisture in and the Cerave moisturizer is formulated with ceramides and hyaluronic acid which restores the skin and helps keep you looking young. Tip* you can use the Cerave moisturizer as an eye cream too, just be sure to use your ring finger when you apply.

These products are dermatologist recommended and they don't cost an entire week of pay like most of the skincare sets I have tried in the past!

Here's to glowing, flawless skin!!

XO fabulous!!

Sick as a dog?!?! Get yourself some ginger tea

Ugh why am I sick again?!?! I've been sick so much in the past 5 months. Why you ask? Oh I don't know because I have to be in Walmarts an grocery stores for work all day and I get sick from everyone!!!!

So what is my cure all besides sleeping as soon as I get home and drinking tons of water? The secret is ginger tea. Oh my gosh this stuff makes you feel so much better and also helps with upset stomachs if it's that time of the month or you literally just ate 5 pounds of food. Either way ginger tea is the best and can be made at home or you can cheat and purchase ginger tea bags.

Ingredients:
-ginger root
-hot water

Boil some water and pour into your cup of choice. Slice up a few pieces of ginger root, add it to your cup, and let sit for 5 minutes before enjoying.

Bottoms up!!
